Retinol (vitamin A) acts as a protective agent for the skin. It normalises skin dryness, as it retains the water in the epidermis, thus keeping it moisturized and elastic. It also restores the normal mitotic rhythm and mildly enhances some enzymatic reactions, compensating the changes and shortcomings of the aged skin.

Powdered additives are mixed with the gel texture peel at the time of application: 1/4 cup of the additive + 1/2 cup of the peel.
Additives with gel or cream presentation are applied after washing the peel off and do not need to be removed.
